Early Victorian adjustable height candle holder.
Simple rachet design to allow the candle to be kept at the correct height as it burns down.
Generally used as an early reading light.
Made from reclaimed oak and iron and finished in a dark polish and wax to give an authentic look.
 
Given the nature of the wood each candle holder will vary in size, colour and wood grain.
